Hi!
My name is Rachel and I am the proud mom to four amazing little kids. I always knew I wanted to have kids, but I never thought it would ensue so much chaos! One of the main culprits may be that I had them all two years apart which has resulted in a 6 year old, a 4 year old, a 2 year old and a newborn. My two oldest are girls that couldn't be more opposite or better friends. My oldest is the little mommy. She actually likes changing the "pee pee" diapers for the younger two. She gets herself dressed, she is very opinionated about everything from her food to her new accessorizing style that included several scarves and headbands. She's a ham. Daughter number two is my little day dreamer. She is always in her own little world playing with her dolls, dressing up like a princess or making pillow forts in the living room. She is also the queen of one liners saying stuff all the time that makes my husband and I double take in a "did she really just say that?" sort of way that is awesome. Number three is my big boy. He is all boy loving spider man, batman, and anything else that means he gets to wear a cape when he wears their shirts. He loves "cycles" which, in his mind, covers dirt bikes, street bikes, ATVs and rascal wheelchairs. In that same breath, he is my snuggle bug and thinks a kiss can cure any ouchie he every gets. Little man is almost 4 months old now. Time has flown by with this guy and he just seems to keep getting bigger and bigger. I don't know if it's because my husband and I have deemed this our last baby, but he seems to be growing to fast. He is starting to recognize his name and smile and coo. This is the fun stage when they no longer just lay, eat, poo and cry, but they start playing and noticing things around them. There is a brief of the kiddos and my four little chipmunks. I am a stay at home mom currently. My resume is pretty diverse from seasonal firefighting to owning my own women's clothing boutique to currently raising four kids. I would say hands down say that my current job is the hardest job any day of the week. My husband and I decided that when we moved down here away from all our family that staying home made the most sense financially since only one of our kids is old enough for school and the rest are all at home. Daycare would be insane and I have honestly been very lucky prior to moving since my store allowed me to take my kids to work with me and most all of the events. When I couldn't take them with me our family lived in the same town and were always open to last minute play dates. Currently my husband does sales working from home in the San Francisco bay area. This is amazing because I get to have him at home with me at least 3 days out of the week. This is not amazing because the bay area is a very expensive place to live, especially if you need room for four kids to run around. We have definitely had to think outside the box and move a little further outside of the city than we originally planned, but all in all it works. Being so close to the bay has also offered tons of opportunities to take the kids to museums and discover little niches along the way. My family is my life, and I wouldn't change that for the world. Carting my kids around looking like the crazy lady at Target who walks in with her cart already full of kids is what I've come to live for.
